How our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Units work

Our combined heat and power (CHP) units efficiently utilize the principle of combined heat and power (CHP) and operate in particularly quiet housings with a minimal footprint. The core components, such as an industrial gas engine specifically optimized for A-TRON and a water-cooled asynchronous generator with integrated bearing lubrication, ensure reliable and efficient performance. Additionally, the usable heat is efficiently recovered using a heat exchanger, a GUS exhaust gas heat exchanger, and a GUS condensing heat exchanger, and can be used for heating purposes up to a maximum supply temperature of 95°C.

The electricity produced by the generator can either be used directly for on-site consumption in the building or fed into the public power grid as surplus. Our CHP units can be intuitively operated via the built-in touch panel with a graphic display and can also be controlled remotely from any PC, tablet, or smartphone using the remote monitoring system.

Construction of Our Efficient Combined Heat and Power Units

The design of our combined heat and power (CHP) units is characterized by a thoughtful combination of high-performance components, including a motor, a generator, various heat exchangers, and an advanced control system. These core components are complemented by an efficient hydraulic system and a precise gas control system, which together maximize the efficiency of our units.

Our carefully optimized industrial gas engines are specifically designed for use with natural gas as well as biogas and sewage gas, offering the flexibility to use hydrogen as a fuel in the future. This hydrogen capability makes our CHP units a future-proof choice for sustainable energy supply. A special feature is the fully automatic oil change function, which minimizes maintenance times and increases the user-friendliness of our systems.

Additionally, our CHP units are equipped with a three-way catalyst for effective emission control and an internal exhaust silencer to reduce noise levels and ensure environmentally friendly operation.
