Our story:
The development of the A-TRON CHP
A-TRON is an internationally active developer and manufacturer of mini combined heat and power plants (CHP), consisting of A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke GmbH and A-TRON Service GmbH. Based in Neustadt a. Rbge. (near Hanover), we attach great importance to the quality and user-friendliness of our products in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
In 2010, Egbert von Bestenbostel, an experienced property owner and CHP user, laid the foundation for A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke GmbH. Based on his personal experience, he knew exactly the potential for improvement of the systems. Together with a team of Swiss engineers, he then developed the innovative A-TRON condensing CHP in various versions. To this day, A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke GmbH is responsible for research, development and sales.
In 2011, Egbert von Bestenbostel received the “Plug & Work” founders’ award from HannoverImpuls for the groundbreaking development of the dynamic control module, which enables fluid adjustment to energy requirements.
Thanks to continuous development progress and outstanding efficiency, A-TRON products are enjoying increasing demand, even internationally. Today, A-TRON CHP systems are in use in countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, England, the Czech Republic, Romania and, above all, Germany, and contribute to energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
A-TRON Service GmbH began its activities in 2014 and quickly became an indispensable part of our success and our history. In close cooperation with specialized partners, A-TRON Service ensures comprehensive support – from commissioning to regular maintenance and the servicing of our cogeneration plants.
A-TRON offers you an all-round, worry-free package for your energy center: from the initial idea to planning support to commissioning and daily operation – all based on our commitment to outstanding quality and reliability.
Since 2022, our new Helios product range has enriched A-TRON’s portfolio. This line is characterized by various variants, all of which are designed to be even more compact, efficient and environmentally conscious. In addition, all Helios models are H2-ready and therefore optimally tailored to the requirements of a sustainable energy future.

Foundation of A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke GmbH
In 2010, Egbert von Bestenbostel laid the foundation stone of the company with the establishment of A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke GmbH, guided by the vision of a climate-neutral future.
Founder's Prize "Plug & Work" from HannoverImpuls
In 2011, Egbert von Bestenbostel received the "Plug & Work" founder's award from HannoverImpuls for his key innovation of the dynamic control module for fluid demand adjustment.
Expansion of product types
The A-TRON CHP range is being expanded to include the product types E12/30, E15/34, E21/46, ÖkoPlus and Vario.
Foundation of A-TRON Service GmbH
A-TRON Service GmbH was founded in 2014. Since then, it has specialized in the commissioning, maintenance and service of CHP plants.
Expansion and development of the company premises
In 2020, the company premises of A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke und Service GmbH were expanded and extended. This expansion laid the foundation for the new development of product lines.
Presentation of the new Helios systems
The new Helios product line with the two system types EG25 & EG50 was presented for the first time at GetNord 2022. With the Helios systems, A-TRON Blockwärmekrafte GmbH is entering the segment of hydrogen-compatible combined heat and power plants.
Trust is good, certifications are better!
A-TRON Blockheizkraftwerke GmbH has been certified by Bureau Veritas Certification for the development, production and distribution of combined heat and power plants based on combined heat and power generation, as well as the distribution of components and spare parts.
